South Waterfront Dog Park

The South Waterfront Dog Park provides dogs and their owners with a place to enjoy an off-leash experience in our neighborhood. The park also holds yappy hours for dogs and members! Participation in the dog park is open to all South Waterfront residents and persons permanently employed in the South Waterfront.

The dog park was started in 2010 by volunteers and is privately funded. It is located on property owned by OHSU, which has generously allowed the park to use the property on a temporary basis. Thanks go to all of those who have supported the park, including South Waterfront Community Relations and South Waterfront Community Association, Umpqua Bank, Realty Trust, and the homeowners associations of the Mirabella, Riva on the Park, Ardea, John Ross, and Matisse Portland, as well as private individuals.

To join the dog park, please fill out a participation form. The forms can be found at the park, on the South Waterfront Dog Park Facebook Page, or you can request a form via email at swfdogpark@gmail.com. Membership is $65 per year. The funds are used to pay for liability insurance and maintenance of the park.

The Board of Directors of the park are President, Mary Rousseau, Secretary/Treasurer, Lisa Shantley, Dick Lukins, Briana Alston, and Rollie Rousseau. Please feel free to contact the South Waterfront Dog Park Board at swfdogpark@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns.
