TriMet Fare Change September 1: Are You Prepared?

September 1 is right around the corner, and that’s when you’ll notice some big changes to the fare system:
- Fare zones are going away.
- The Free Rail Zone is going away.
- Prices will go up for many riders.
- Day passes will cost the same as two tickets (a great value for both round trips and all-day travel.
In case you’ve heard rumors, they’re not changing to “one-way” tickets, nor is the bus transfer policy changing at this time.
