Learn to Make Chevre and Other Soft Cheeses

Scott Dominic Catino is a local cheesemaker and dairy owner. Scott and his wife own a 20-acre goat dairy and operate Quail Run Creamery in Gaston, Oregon, featuring the Nigerian Dwarf dairy goat. This 3-hour class will cover cheese history and facts, a basic overview of cheese making, a demonstration of whole milk Ricotta and Chevre making, and a cheese plate tasting, including wine and accompaniments.
