The residents of South Waterfront have formed a committee to make the South Waterfront's natural elements a key component of the neighborhood. Providing a comphensive balance between green buildings and green landspace is an important effort for this community. Nature & Greenspaces has been instrumental in shaping the Elizabeth Caruther's Park, and, more recently, the Greenway design and build. The Committee has also kept residents up to date on the Zidell remediation efforts and the rehoming of the Osprey nest in the South Waterfront Dog Park. The group is focused on bring vital information concerning our local environment to the neighborhood via lectures, discussions and debates. Resident Jim Luke has Chaired the Board and been a great leader for many years.
Residents and interested parties are encouraged to join the committee. Contact Program Manager of Community Relations Heather Bayles at Heather@southwaterfront.com for more information.
