South Waterfront Greenway

Portland’s vision is to have a continuous greenway running along the Willamette River from the Steel Bridge, past River Place, through South Waterfront to the Sellwood Bridge. South Waterfront is doing its part to make that vision a reality. Currently a temporary Greenway has been created, including several benches and doggie stations. The final design phase of the Greenway Development Plan has been completed and construction is scheduled to be finished by 2009.The South Waterfront greenway will include separate bike and walking paths and recreational access to the river, along with meadows and habitat restoration along the river’s edge.
